Get Involved

Here are some of the many tasks we need volunteers for. Select a task or two and reach out to one of the two points of contact listed below.

  • Assist with special events -- set up, merchandise sales, membership drive, food service, operational assistance
  • Assist with education -- assist with presentations, develop presentations, present programs, take pictures for presentations
  • Assist with marketing -- Take photos, write press releases, assist with Facebook, assist with web page, distribute flyers and information, blog, etc.
  • Assist in resource management -- help during prescribed fires / direct traffic, answer questions, disperse drinking water -- general assistance
  • Assist in monitoring cultural sites
  • Shoreline clean up
  • Minor work projects -- assist -- painting, maintaining boardwalks other facilities and equipment
  • Assist with endanger species monitoring -- Sea Turtles, Beach mouse, Shore birds
  • Assist in administration of the park -- collecting fees, answering phones, providing information, selling merchandise
  • Visitor Services / protection -- Assist with parking, educating visitor of rules, resources, activities, assist with clean up after storms, provide information
  • Trail maintenance
  • Assist at the museum / welcome visitors, provide information collect fees; assist with grounds, facility or equipment maintenance
  • Attend community meetings on behalf of the CSO, assist in developing partnership, recruit members and support
  • Be part of one of the best state parks in the State
